As you may know by now, I am an avid journaler and have been for years. If I could only keep one practice from my wellness repertoire, journaling would be it! It’s been the catalyst for most of my successes, a-ha moments and, most importantly, the growth of my relationship with myself.
That’s why, after years of using journals that didn’t quite meet my needs, I decided I could do better (for me AND for you)! So I created The Results Journal to help you supercharge your health, amplify your joy and rock your dreams.
The Results Journal is a guided approach to brainstorm, choose, track and refine your goals in every area of your life. It’s the exact system I’ve used for years and cultivated over decades.
I’ll give you more juicy details about the journal later in this post, but before we get there, I want to help you get in the right mindset. First I’ll share how harnessing the power of a journaling practice can help you reach your goals (including a super personal story from one of my team members). Then I’ll let you in on some behind-the-scenes details of how the journal came together!
How does journaling help you reach your goals?
Journaling is one of the most powerful, yet underrated practices we can keep in our wellness toolboxes. I believe that consistent journaling, paired with carefully curated exercises and prompts, can move mountains. I am who I am today because of journaling.
But don’t just take it from me—studies show that you’re a whopping 42 percent more likely to reach your goals when you write them down (source). Beyond that, identifying specific actions to support your goals and being held accountable for following through on them (by an accountability buddy or progress report of some kind, for example) further boosts your chances of success.
One study of adults who needed a medically-necessary biopsy showed that journaling for 20 minutes, 3 days in a row actually helped them heal faster (source). YES, you read that right! If it sounds like magic, that’s because it is.
Here’s a real life example: One member of Team Crazy Sexy was dealing with some mental and physical challenges post-partum. She loved her family and her life, but still felt a little lost and disconnected from her inner wisdom. When we were developing and testing The Results Journal (yup, our WHOLE team put this baby through the ringer… we wanted it to be the best it could be for you!), she used it to track her habits more closely and connect with how she felt on a day-to-day basis.
In doing so, she lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks! That’s obviously wonderful and I’m thrilled for her because she has more energy and feels more like herself, but it’s not even the best part. The best part is that journaling helped her find her way back to herself after her entire world had been turned upside down.

It’s here to help you observe and notice patterns that support or detract from feeling your best. It is NOT an invitation to feel guilty or beat yourself up (please don’t do that my friend!).
