Dear Kris, It is I who needs to thank you, and thank you for so much. After finding I have breast cancer again, yep round two, I began my endless quest of when, hows, whys and all of the other things that drove me crazy. Purchasing every book I could get my hands on and staying up all hours of the night trying to understand it all. It wasn’t until I purchased Crazy Sexy Cancer Survivor that I was able to understand I will never understand it all, thru your books you made me see that I needed to stop trying to figure what happened and begin to see that yes, I’m here with cancer, and I have to move forward. Kris, can you believe that because of lack of insurance and possibly loosing everything we ever worked for, I thought about taking my own life. Cancer sucked me into the bottom of its dark hole. You saved me from this horrible dark hole, you made me laugh, gave me hope, strength, courage and so much more. I’m probably your mom’s age and I’ve learned so much from all of your books, (yep-bought all that I could get my hands on) and I eat nothing but organic, healthy food and juices. Your no bull, honest approach has made me pull up my big girl panties and kickass boots and fight this, again. I could never adequately express just how grateful I am to you for all that you’ve given me. On Monday, 1/5/15 I am scheduled for a double mastectomy followed by treatment. I will have my daughter, who thinks and eats, does yoga, who is a free loving spirit just as you are, there next to me, my son and my husband and of course, you. You’ve given me the strength to face the world a changed woman, not being ashamed of my battle scars and the courage to continue to defeat the poison within. I had hoped that my daughter and I could attend your show in NY, looks like we’re going to have to take a raincheck. Kris, you’ve given me what others could not, I can never thank you enough. I have placed all of your books in a special place as a reminder of how beautiful you and they are and how you saved my life. Stay sweet and beautiful, don’t let society change or taint you, YOU’RE PERFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! God bless, wishing you all of the wonderful things in life, wish me luck and thank you for being an amazing girlfriend even though I’m old enough to be your mom! With much love, Rose.

  5. Ginny says:

Thanks so much Kris! I don’t take much time to even think about what I need these days. I am going to work on that in the coming year. I was diagnosed with breast cancer on my birthday, five years ago, and my husband of over 30 years took a long walk and never came back! I am now a single parent of an amazing special needs son, who is homebound. I live on a very fixed income of SSI and SI, have just lost our home of 26 years to foreclosure, and lost our car two years ago. Don’t know where we will find appropriate housing, but I am working very hard to put it all out there to the Universe and have confidence that it will show me the way! You have given me so much support, love, guidance and hope! I found you right after my diagnosis, and I have held on tight! You are just the most amazing woman, and survivor. I am going to work harder this year to eat even better. I eat mostly fruit and veggies, but still eat organic chicken and turkey on occasion. I will also try harder to take better care of my emotional health. With your guidance and support, I think I can make some good progress!! Fear of the cancer coming back is a big one for me. I need to dig into my spiritual self this year: more journaling, more meditation, more cleansing breaths!! Thanks for all you do for all of us! You have helped me with every single step of this journey! Wishing you a Healthy and Happy New Year!
