It’s been a little over two years since Crazy Sexy Kitchen was published and hit the New York Times best seller list. Creating this book with Chef Chad Sarno (my partner in delicious plant-based crime) was a dream come true. Like many of you, I was raised by a passionate cook, and it was my Grandma’s love for the kitchen that led me to the power of food. Every time I prepare a meal, I feel her warm, Colombian love.
Crazy Sexy Kitchen combines the spirit of cooking that I learned from my grandmother with the health and nutrition knowledge I’ve gained on my own journey—plus epic culinary skills from Chad and all our talented guest chefs.
In honor of the paperback release (woot!), I wanna give you FREE cooking classes! (UPDATE: this offer has expired, but you can still get a sneak peek of Crazy Sexy Kitchen below)
Check out one of the classes in this knife skills video!
Here’s what you’ll learn:
- How to choose the right knife for you.
- How to hold your knife safely and effectively.
- How to store, maintain, and care for your knife.
- How to dice, julienne, and chop any ingredient that crosses your cutting board.
I hope this knife skills tutorial inspired you to get busy in the kitchen.
Peace & chopping,
You’re awesome, Kris! Hope you’re enjoying the holiday season so far! Brightest blessing to you and yours ♡
Thank you gorgeous!
I teach cooking classes, including knife skills. He scared me to no end. There are MUCH safer knife skills that have consistent results. Sorry – Love you Kris – and your friend is cute, BUT he was not the best person to demo knife skills.
Kris, thank you so much for your generous gift! xx
Can’t wait to watch and get some healthy tips 🙂
Always first in line to get pre-Xmas presents!
This one is a digital advent calendar style…!
Merci beaucoup from Switzerland!
Thanks Kris! I needed a push of inspiration in the kitchen, so this is perfect! All my blessings!
This is the first time I’ve commented~ ever! I want to personally thank you for your generosity and love. When you say you love us, I truly feel it deep within. Your thoughtfulness and continued uplifting emails keep me going in so many ways. The gift today is a cherry on top!
I want you to know from little ‘ol me in Highlands Ranch, Colorado in this BIG busy world you have worth and are appreciated and loved back. Big tight squeeze hug and a bisous.
Thank you and Warmest Holiday Blessings,
Thank you Kris for the thoughtful gift of sharing your inspiring videos. I will share it with some friends that will become your new friends.
Bless you ~ Rhonda
I almost cut my thumb off pitting an avocado once – this is an awesome gift! Thank you. Namaste.
An update on my last message,
Even though the ontraport website said ““An internal server error occurred. Please try again later” when I tried to sign up for your free gift of the cooking classes my name and email did go through twice, as I tried with 2 different email addresses! Then when I tried to unsubscribe one of the email addresses, the same message came up on Ontraport. So something is happening with that site. I thought you would want to know… Maybe it did not have it’s green juice today!
Anyway, thanks for the great gift! I have already watched the one about juicing. It is so fun to watch your cooking videos, you are a bright light on the planet and amazing!!! Thanks again.
Hi Patty, thank you so much. I’m glad that you’re loving the videos so far! If you’d like to email us at [email protected] we can get any dual sign-ups sorted out (there was a momentary hang-up with our forms but all is well now). xo
Awesome, as always, can’t wait for the rest of the videos! Question for you both: Any tricks for cutting large turnips? I LOVE them but it’s like trying to cut a rock!
Thanks sooooooo.. much , Kris . It is true I don,t think we need all those knives in the kitchen . I have two favorites in my kitchen . Very helpful …….. I do not cut and chop like your chef. I learned a lot with this class . Thanks so much . Have a grand day ! Syd McK
Great, thank you. I’ve needed knife skills. Merry Christmas to all! Is there a particular knife brand you like?
I took a class in which the facilitator used your book to teach eating healthy and vegan as much as possible. It was important in that it changed people’s way of eating but the more interesting thing about this workshop was that the instructor looked soooo much like you or you like her. She is a Yoga instructor at Cleveland Yoga – her name is Jenn Harte and you could be sisters. When I first saw your book Crazy Sexy Kitchen – I thought it was her on the cover. Just thought you might like to know – you can check out the Cleveland Yoga Website or Facebook Jenn Harte. Thank you so much for your work!!!Cannot wait till your new book is in my hands!
I enjoyed the knife class so I tried to sign up for the rest of the free classes. But your link isn’t working. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the clear, concise examples of basic knife skills.
How do you store knifes ?
I didn’t hear that part
Kris, you are totally, wonderfully, awesome. Thank you for caring, your compassion and for being an inspiration to us all.
