Empowering Guidance on Cancer Remission (Video)

Hi Sweet Friends,

Although I may not talk about this topic as much as I did a decade ago, it’s still a subject that’s very important to me—surviving cancer. A few years ago, I learned about Dr. Kelly Turner, Ph.D.’s book, Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds. After reading it cover to cover, I couldn’t wait to do this interview and share Kelly’s research with you all. Today, her words still ring true. Time and time again, I meet and read emails from readers who say this interview has changed their lives.

Kelly has dedicated her career to what she calls “radical remission” (although, I think her work is so universal that it should be called Radical Remission and Prevention!). The research she gathered is not only empowering to those facing a cancer diagnosis, it’s a gift to anyone who wants to lead a healthy, long life.

Watch my interview with Dr. Kelly Turner above or download it here and listen on-the-go. Note: To download the mp3 file, right click (or Ctrl+Click on a Mac) on the link and “Save Link As” to save it to your computer.

After analyzing 1,000 cases and doing over 200 direct, in-depth interviews, Dr. Turner’s biggest takeaway has been that healing is possible at any time. I want to be clear that, like me, Dr. Turner is not against Western medicine. She believes that every situation is different and that everybody needs a different healing plan tailored to their needs.

When I read Kelly’s New York Times best-selling book, Radical Remission, I couldn’t believe how much it aligned with the diet and lifestyle I’ve been writing about and practicing personally for the past decade. It’s so refreshing and encouraging to see these things deeply researched and documented by someone like Kelly. During this interview, we covered three of the nine principles outlined in her book. Keep in mind that this is not a step-by-step plan for healing cancer. Rather, Kelly’s nine principles are the common threads she discovered while researching people who had experienced radical remission.

3 (of 9!) Principles of Radical Remission

1. Radically changing your diet

Find out what to add and what to remove—I couldn’t agree more! Hint: Hello, plants!

2. Taking herbs and supplements

There’s no one-size-fits-all supplement plan but during our interview, Kelly shares the top three kinds of supplements people with radical remission commonly take. Remember, it’s important to find an integrative oncologist, integrative doctor or certified nutritionist (who has an integrative approach and has worked with cancer patients) to determine your supplement plan. Check out these resources: Institute for Functional Medicine and Society of Integrative Oncology.

3. Deepening your spiritual practice

Learn about the phenomenal power a daily spiritual practice, whether it’s a walk in nature, meditation or prayer (whatever floats your boat!), can have on your DNA. You may find that mindfulness and spiritual connection have more influence over your health than you ever could have imagined.

I really hope this interview inspired you, whether you’re a patient or someone who just wants to feel better and prevent chronic disease.

Kelly was also one of my amazing guests for the first-ever Healing Cancer World Summit. Using the results from this event, I compiled a modern-day guide for prevention and recovery to help you in your cancer journey that you can find here.

Your turn: What came up for you after listening to this interview? What were your takeaways?

Peace & radical research,

  2. Susanne says:

You’re totally right – most people don’t get their shit together without a smashing call like cancer. Including myself! I’d love to watch your film because it resonates a lot with me. 34, healthy, fit, diagnosed with a rare form of sarcoma that is most common in men between 50-70??!! Hello universe? What a wakeup call. I’ve just ordered two of your books Kris, and I’m digging out my cowboy boots for my first checkup MRI next month.

  3. Deb says:

Thank you, excellent work! I’ve started using a Rife MOPA/GB4000 machine the last 3 months, along with Poly MVA, Wheatgrass and Kangen Water and have noticed improvements. Does anyone else use a Rife Machine, Poly MVA or Kangen? Have also improved my diet.

  4. Naren says:

    Love your work! Awesome

  5. Patty says:

Brilliant interview. I wish everyone I knew would be as interested in knowing this information so they can help themselves live healthier lives either with or without cancer. Too often, people are not interested until they are diagnosed. I have several friends who look at me like I have 2 heads when I mention green smoothies, avoiding sugar, detoxification, or meditation. I am so happy people like yourselves are getting this information out there. The more mainstream it becomes, the better off we’ll all be – I hope the food quality in stores improves as consumer tastes change. You’re literally helping change the world for the better. Keep up the amazing work!

  6. Audrey Donnet says:

Kris I love you, Thank you for bringing this to me. I am 42, have a 4 year old, 5 yr marraige, and have ovarian cancer stage 3, diagosed 2 yrs ago, on my 5th chemo treatment, trying to find desparately all that I can do to fight this. I have read your books, changed my eating, thank you for that amazing insight. I am very excited to continue to learn what Dr Turner has learned through her research. THANK YOU for bringing this to us, for the hope you have given me, and mostly the feeling that I can make my life better…that I can take care of myself better,,,that there i smore I can do to encourage healing

  7. Donna amedeo says:

Thanks for presenting this interview with Dr. Turner. It’s the refresher I needed after a Summer of too much partying. I am in my 3rd year post op with metastatic liver cancer.

  8. Kris!! You are amazing and such an inspiration. I’m not a cancer thriver, but I am indeed a THRIVER! I’m thankful for the ways you have shared yourself and your story with so many in hopes of inspiring their healing THRIVING, too! I have a question – for you and for Dr. Kelly Turner:
Have you contacted Vice President Joe Biden to tell him your stories? I believe he is passionately focused on finding a cure for cancer, yes, but I also believe he and many others are not looking for the cure in the cause. Information like that shared in Radical Remission needs to be shared and desperately needs to be included in the conversation, nationally and globally. Your experiences lend credence to what you have to offer him in this quest, which I believe is as much personal for him as professional. He’s a great change agent. You are, too! Please reach out to him and let him know about Crazy Sexy THRIVING YOU!! I’m with you and such a fan and hope to be friend as you ‘sally’ forth in this amazing life! THRIVE on, girl!!

  9. Rhoda says:

    Amazing. I’m really moved.

Can one find the book in Kenya?

    Thank you.
    Rhoda.

  10. Hi Kris, thank you for this interview. Although i had listened to Dr. Kelly before, it is very useful to listen again. it was very well conceived and presented interview, a great help to renew my journey towards healing. God Bless.

  11. Kelly Moss says:

Kris you continue to do awesome and inspiring work. Thank you for sharing the interview with Kelly Turner. Very interesting!

  12. EMILIA JOHNS says:

I need to get my shit together…thank you! I wish I had all this information when my Dad was struggling with the prospect of leaving this earth because of cancer. Although he was positive and of sound mind to the end he didn’t get to make it.

  13. K. W. says:

Kriss, your zeal for life greatly inspires me. Dr. Turner’s research intrigues me especially in finding out how the power of healing is within our reach through the 3 powerful methods she suggests. Kudos to you both for your willingness to help others experience a fullness of life even when faced with unknowns or a critical diagnosis. Life is good!!

  14. Debbie says:

Hi Kris, I am writing from Canada, came across your website when looking into Anti-Cancer Diet, and was so “crazy” inspired! LOL!! Have since purchased 2 of your books plus just picked up the “love notes” (an uplift while going thru chemo) and plan to order the Crazy Sexy Kitchen! I am starting chemo 2 days from now, I just relapsed after a 4 year remission from NH Follicular Lymphoma, Stage 3, Grade I/II. This new chemo I will be starting, I am told, will only give me a 3 year remission but I would like to prove to myself, and I guess to my Hematologist, that eating a plant based diet, juicing, smoothies, meditation and breathing and exercise can only boost my immune system in a very positive way and, hopefully, see a longer remission. I am not a vegetarian, have never juiced, meditated or “even breathed properly I am sure”, so this is all unchartered territory for me, and, yet, so exciting. Kris, what is the one thing that stands out for you to suggest to myself and others going thru chemo?

    • Kelly Moss says:

Debbie, consider intravenous Vitamin C treatments. That along with a plant based diet, meditation and exercise you have a very good chance to live a long, happy life. Good luck!

      • Debbie says:

This is so cool, I have never done this and you, Kelly, left a reply for me! Thank you! I am going to look into IV Vitamin C treatments.

  15. Virginia says:

Thank you so much Kris for your contribution for the highest good. Your videos are so informative. Beyond that, your delivery and screen presence is so genuine and nurturing. May you always be blessed.

  16. Peter says:

    I am Peter Loveday
I have stage 4 pancreas cancer -All masses across the Liver & pancrus .
One mass bigger than a pop can that was on the outside of my rib cage.
    Total of 8 masses.
They told me I had 2months tops.
Im 9 months past my expiry date . 🙂
I can actually see the mass in my stomach shrinking ,
    1side faster than the other.
    I have Cure for Cancer
    I have the food network.
Now I have the Revolutionary Health
Im 85% on my food ,I need a guide.
still getting all organic spices etc.
I already lost 52 pounds ,down to 160 now.
I feel great ,wouldn’t even know I had it.

  17. Jan says:

I have been living with multiple myeloma since January of 2007. Isaw your documentary soon after my diagnosis. I have been receiving your emails for quite awhile. I also receive stuff from Kelly. I follow the advice up to a certain point. After seeing your interview, something clicked. I still have some not so healthy habits. I am now more motivated than ever to tweak my life. My myeloma is stable and minimally detectable. I am in active treatment, getting subcutaneous velcade injections every 2 weeks an have to take dexamethasone the day of tx. My goal is complete remission. Thank you for your site. Love and light, Jan

  18. Sylvie says:

    Wow! Very interesting, thank you!

  19. gail stamps says:

I’m going to forward this to a cancer surviver. thanks for sharing this with me.

  20. Ivana says:

Such important work for “healthy” people everywhere and anyone touched by cancer. Thank you!

  21. Josephine Marino says:

So inspiring…I’m not a cancer patient or ever have been, but the thought that there is something we can do for our loved ones, friends and family is so good to know. The thing that really got me was the meditation. Diet is a big topic now-a-days, but the importance of meditation and how it releases all those wonderful immune boosting agents is something else. We just don’t realize how important something so simple can be, or worse think its ‘wierd’ to meditate. Thanks Kriss, I LOVE YOU and ofcourse Dr Kelly Turner for such great work!

  22. Evelyn Cu-Unjieng says:

I too am a cancer warrior and will be celebrating my 3rd year of survival in a few days. Since my mastectomy on Oct. 30, 2016 I have followed the 3 principles of Radical Remission just mentioned by Dr. Kelly Turner, without any further traditional treatments. Luckily, I live in the Philippines where they say 19 out of 22 known medicinal herbs grow, as well as a wide range of fruits and vegetables all year round. I am looking and feeling good at 69, and am happy fully living a life I love, even better than before I was diagnosed with cancer! I will share my healing experiences in a book I intend to write soon. Thank you for your inputs and caring for cancer survivors like me! May your tribe increase! Evelyn Cu-Unjieng

  23. Pam says:

This video/interview is worth your time to watch…great information ! Thanks Kelly and Kris.

  24. Cheryl says:

As a two time survivor (and big time thriver and educator now!), I loved yet another reinforcement about what I’m doing with regards to supplements. I get the nutrition of over 60 different, REAL, fruits, veggies, whole grains and more every day. That, along with a heavily plant-based diet has changed every aspect of my life for the better. I just learned that one of the women I’ve been working with – stage 4 breast cancer, developed allergies to all chemo protocols – has decided to stop these treatments altogether and go deeper into the same changes discussed in the video. Her tumor markers are already dropping!!

  25. Marianne says:

I wish to change my diet for not cancer but a death sentence for me nonetheless! I have diabetes and am legally blind and in severe nerve pain for close to 15 yrs now! I used to be a Registered Nurse helping others my whole life. Now since I’m blind for 3 yrs I feel like I have given up. I need to get back out there and live! I am located in a rural community where help is limited. Your site has helped me to see I can’t and won’t give up! Thank you for all you do!

  26. Crystal Sayers says:

I’m living with endometriosis and every day can be filled with pain and fatigue, despite the medication I’m on to control it. These three points are exactly what my nutritionist suggests for helping my body heal and handle my condition. I can’t wait to read her book to see what else may help me thrive, rather than just make it through the day. Thank you!

  27. stevalia says:

Dr Kelly reminds me of taylor Swift. I just bought kindle version of Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds, sure I will enjoy this book. I have previously bought Crazy Sex range. Ensure drinks can be dangerous for elderly especially them that have had stroke.

  28. hille says:

you girls are the only ones that I find that feel so happy when someone heals naturally. Most people are actually not celebrating with you if you journey this in a natural way – it always surprises me. Thank you ladies for this amazing video and the work that you do. I appreciate you sooooo much

  29. Karen says:

Thank you for this inspiring interview! As a stage 4 lung cancer patient I am doing everything I can to stay alive. I was diagnosed 15 months ago and have been on chemo but have been also educating and arming myself nutritionally. Still not perfect (can’t give up my animal protein) but adding lots of nutrients, greens and supplements. So far so good!

  30. claire broughton says:

Amazing book, really worth a read. Excellently laid out and really interesting. Really confirms everything you’re reading about it being a multifaceted approach to wellness…

  31. Cappy says:

Thank you! Things keep coming to me! My husband has had three strokes, has dementia and neurological problems and in June he was diagnosed with melenoma of the bone. With dietary and supplementation he is doing fairly well. The meditation is a bit more difficult as his mind does not work as it once did but we continue to follow these paths ever exploring the tings that are and could be helping!

  32. jackie says:

What a beautiful person this Doctor Kelly is I so enjoyed listening to her. I shall connect to her website and read her book. Although I’m not a cancer patient I am so surrounded by friends who are and would love to help them through speaking about this lovely lady doctor.

  33. Julia says:

this is beautiful and inspiring. i am healing myself with daily walks in nature and herbal juices. cancer is a lighthouse on the journey home. to understand this is to fall in love oneself and live.
kris you are a true hero. thank you kelly turner for your work. rock on!

  34. Ernie says:

    Do it instantly.

  35. Arnold says:

Keep up the good work , I read few content oon this internet site and I believe that your site is really interesting and
has sets of geat info .

  36. Bernadine says:

I like reading a post that can make men and women think.
Also, thanks for allowing for me to comment!

  37. Steffen says:

Can you tell us more about this? I’d like to find
    out some additional information.

  38. Eleanor Lackey says:

Thank you for giving hope and an action plan. Odds are stacked against me as my immune system is lowered because of a kidney transplant.
Meditation is exactly what I need. I will contact a functional nutritionist as well. Thanks so much for your

  39. Donna says:

    Wonderful and informative

  40. Stacey says:

I loved watching the discussion! I am trying to set up these steps as I am newly diagnosed with cancer. Do you know of any Canadian resources to help with nutrition and supplements? I would be grateful for any guidance.

    Stacey

  41. Beth anderson says:

Great work you beautiful women. Can’t wait to read your book Kelly.

  42. Melinda Ladner says:

My mom who is 79 has had stage 4 ovarian cancer for 4 years this Jan. They took her off the chemo rounds which gave her a decent quality of life for 4 years. She is starting to decline a good bit. What can we do at this point. I gave her you book and at 79 she just couldn’t manage all the information, so she gave it back, so I’m not sure about the green smoothies. Really what would help her the most at this point. Please advise. I would appreciate any advise. Strong religious background, daily says rosary and reads scripture but I also cannot teach her to meditate but the rosary is meditation? Anyway please advise. I cant take losing her.

  43. curious says:

Ever read the book Remarkable Recovery by Caryle Hirshberg & Marc Ian Barasch? I believe it was published in 1995.

  44. Connie love says:

I was diagnosed with cancer a year ago I am doing fine changing my diet and exercise, stress and sleep pattern what came up for me after listening Kelly Turner was my spiritual practice because I was just thinking about that very thing this morning on my way to work. It is the one part I am missing for me. So thank you for the reminder and for all the great info.

  45. Teri says:

Healed terminal cancer 6 years ago this way!

  46. ms. sandra silva says:

i saw your interview with Dr. Kelly Turner and although i suffer from something that is not cancer , i learned much that i may possibly use in dealing with what i suffer from, which is sarcoidosis . i have been living with this for six (6) years. shall find out at next week’s doctors appointment how well i am doing and if i need to change my activity level. i have changed my diet, walk at least 30 minutes a day, try to keep stress away from me, but we shall see what my doctor says. thanks for the wonderful
information you have imparted in your interview with Dr. Turner.
    sincerely, sandra

  47. jessie says:

I am at the point the doctors says I am in remission, against all odds!
I am considering removing myself from the maintenance program, and have been looking for information like Dr. Kelly Turner’s! Thank you, thank you for all tour work in this area, Kris!

  48. Randy Robbins says:

I enjoyed your interview. I have been fighting lymphoma cancer now for about eight years. I refused chemo and took alternate supplements and changed my diet instead. My last check up showed that the lymphoma is in remission so I’m thankful for what I’ve learned and done and for a praying family.
I have been taking RM10 now for the past eight years and even though I had lymphoma I didn’t get sick with colds or flues like the rest of family and friends. I also went on the grape diet right at the start for a forty day period. I’m also considering going back on it again because a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with now having prostate cancer. I see my specialist this week for fall up. I told him I want to start with graviola tea first even though he was recommending surgery. He has agreed to work with me and monitor my progress even though I didn’t take his recommendation. I know a number of people who were diagnosed after me and who did chemo and they are all gone now. So I will continue to fight and pray for healing.

  49. Katie Fernandes says:

Great interview really enjoyed watching this and couldn’t agree more about getting the message out to people who have not been directly effected by cancer.
I’m 33 and was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year and had to go through a regime of 5 chemos every week over a 16 week period. I’m happy to report that I am 7 months in the clear and feel the best I have ever felt after making changes to my diet and lifestyle. It took this eye opening experience for me to realize your health is your number 1 priority, and I’m committed to helping people realize this as well.
    Thanks Kris and Dr. Turner

  50. Great info ladies! Way to spread the word and educate!

  51. Comfy meier says:

    Very inspiring!

  52. Janice Baird says:

Used meditation throughout my entire treatment and went so deep on my first chemo, the nurse couldn’t wake me up and thought I was dead. My sister woke me up. Am still meditating everyday. The psychologist at the hospital said that was probably what saved me. I had 2 types of ovarian cancer and one tumor was the size of a grapefruit. Will share your message and your website with everyone I know. Thank you for seeing the need for this research and doing something about it.

    Janice

  53. Irene says:

    wow!! AMAZING INTERVIEW!
I am not a cancer patient but I am an enthusiastic reader of your blog and newsletters. This is the best video I have watched so far… thanks for sharing and taking care of us.
    I got the message…
Please, keep working and spreading the word.
    Hugs form Spain.

  54. Deborah Miles says:

    Hello Kris,

I really enjoyed the article and will probably pick up her book and I already found her on Facebook. I am not a vegan, but am a clean eater, no beef, who is sensitive to gluten, eggs and chicken, so I am careful with those. One statement you made isn’t really correct or fair. You said “only those that have had cancer have their shit together.” This is not so true. My brother had cancer 3 times and the 3rd time it came back with a vengeance. There are a lot of clean eaters in this world, many you know, that are not vegans and they do have their shit together.

  55. Matt Jager says:

I loved loved loved this interview, plus I learned a ton. The way you talk about wellness is so refreshing — we don’t need to take a stand against conventional medicine, but embrace all the tools available to live a healthy, happy life.

Would love to have a link to the study that shows the epigenetic effects of meditation after just 6 weeks. Please share.

Keep up the incredibly powerful and important work.

  56. Susan says:

Great interview! I passed this along to a dear friend who just finished intense chemo for the second time when her cancer recurred. She has already purchased the book and is considering many changes in her lifestyle! Thank the universe for Dr Kelly and Kris Carr!

  57. monique lindholm says:

Really, really good blog. Going to forward it to everyone. And I need this book as a cancer survivor hoping to stay in remission…so empowering. Thank you
    Monique

  58. Tara says:

Thanks! I hope that MANY MANY MANY people listen to this video! It makes me happy when people who are in the science world “get it”. We holistic people are too often shrugged off as a bunch of voo doo fools when the real truth is that there is SOOO much power behind what we do.

It makes me happy when I see people recommend these healthy, holistic, empowering approaches rather than drugs which destroy our immune systems.

Cancer is all about letting go of what is NOT serving you and YES — that is different for everyone so thanks for putting all this great info out there! And of course — we could go really deep and talking about clearing unconscious limiting beliefs, but this was a GREAT info!
    THANKS!

  59. Joni says:

This is the best talk on healing and preventing cancer I have heard. I appreciate the integrative & holistic approach and the acknowledgment that there is no one size fits all cure, rather it’s based on each individual’s situation. I also appreciate that the use of western medicine was not condemned, but supported based on each person’s cancer cure needs. Looking forward to reading the book!

  60. Laureen says:

Kris – your brilliance continues to shine light on the world….thank you for what you continue to share with all of us. Dr Kelly Turner’s interview is a game changer. I am grateful for her beautiful mind, spirit and wisdom. What a wonderful human being she is. I’m ordering her book now 🙂

    With gratitude,
    Laureen

  61. Final take-away: My oncologist said he wished he could ‘bottle the energy I bring’. Energy=green drinks, meditation, and “steppin’ out of the mainstream”!

  62. Peggy says:

Loved video w.Dr Kelly Turner – recently diagnosed w.uterine cancer – am struggling w.modifying my intake structure /eating habits. Plan on getting checked out re herbs & supplements needed for my specific situation – & deepening my spiritual connection – I do have a strong faith & pray daily/several times a day – would truly like 2 get into meditation/yoga possibly – would welcome book titles for prep of same. Thanks for all of your good work & information shared!!!

  63. Moya says:

This was really good I don’t have cancer, but my mom has 2 different times and they said my chances are pretty good. But I did want to ask, with the supplements, how do we find out the ones that we would need or need to take? And were do we find these people to help us? We live in a small town? Can you give us a link to were we can find these I had gone off of all meds, and was told about a doctor that was willing to help you with (supplements from the health food store, that would go a long with any prescription’s if you had to), But after seeing him, he didn’t know anything about the things I got from the health food store, and he went right back to a prescription even when I said that wasn’t what I wanted I don’t know what to do or were to go from here? Help please, and thank you for this video!

  64. Grace says:

Love you both! Thank you for the work that you do, and for your authenticity and true approach to healing. It really is about being happy and healthy, and just being mindful about what you put into your body.
Love and peace. PS… Kris, love your blooper video with Lola & Buddy. LOL! Hope they’re doing well.

  65. cindi says:

great info… ty for sharing….. it is important to know that u do not have to have cancer to do these things to heal from whatever u may have altho wonderful info and advice for those that do have cancer and need this info for that reason…. people just do not realize how toxic our food has become over the yrs and we need to do better… eat better and heal… so ty both… u are amazing women… ty again!

  66. Jami says:

Awesome interview, thank you!! I am definitely getting this book! It is important to keep hearing success stories and reinforcement that I am doing the right things!

  67. Debra says:

I’ve read Kellys book–It is WONDERFUL. I don’t have the c word but have family members who do. I’e recommended her book to all and hope they take advantage of her wonderful words. Thanks

  68. Lisa Amos says:

Thank you, Kris, for this amazing interview, and for introducing me to Dr. Turner and her work. I am so inspired, and can’t wait to read her book. It is SO great that she has done this type of research!! Yay!! 🙂

  69. Barry Keys says:

I have adeno carcinoma that spread from my colon to my liver. The Dr. removed 18 in. of colon then I received oxalyplatin and xeloda with evastin (chemo, know as full-fox) for four years (two years longer than anyone on the charts). The liver was well covered with large tumors that straddled the middle of the liver so surgery and radiation were out. The trick to surviving cancer is surviving chemo. Number one is attitude. Gratitude most powerful. Nutrition is very important. I met with a great nutritionist who was well informed and is also a consultant to Cancer Centers Of America. I also saw an holistic practitioner and an Osteopathic Doctor. Your video is so right on. Get good guidance on nutrition. Sugar is poison. Eating right for your blood type is a really good guide. Statistically, I am way past my expiration date. More to be grateful about. Also, getting all of your medicine people to talk to each other and understand how you are integrating them is beneficial for many reasons. Raises everybody’s awareness. Prayer works.

  70. Thank you all for your wonderful feedback! And Kris, thank you for sharing this interview with your amazing community.

Most important, if any of you have a Radical Remission story to share with me for my ongoing research, please, please, please share it over at http://www.radicalremission.com/index.php/share . It will only take 10 minutes.

Wishing you all health and happiness,
    Kelly Turner, PhD
    (Author of Radical Remission)

  71. Kris Carr says:

I’m so empowered & excited by all of your comments. Thank you! If you have questions for Dr. Kelly Turner, hop on over to her website: http://www.drkellyturner.com

  72. Kathy Catlin says:

This is a beautiful interview, thank you so much for sharing it. Dr. Turner’s work is beyond valuable and so is all the work you do Kris! I’ve ordered the book and shared your link to my FB page.

  73. emma says:

Hi Kris, Thanks for the amazing interview. i loved it! I have over the last couple of years completely changed my diet (and my husbands) and am always interested in learning and implementing new ways to live a more happy and healthy life. Its incredible that until now no one has studied radical remission patients before. wow. The thing that stood out to me was the emotional/spiritual aspect. Now that i have basically conquered my diet, it might be time to tackle this area of my life 🙂 fun! i think ill be ordering her book too, sounds like an interesting read. thanks again

  74. Yvonne says:

Thanks for sharing this message of hope. Having lost both parents and a sister very recently to cancer, plus having other siblings who have fought cancer, I sometimes feel like it cancer is a dark cloud hovering over me just waiting to attack. This interview really empowered me and reminded me that a cancer diagnosis is not the end, but just another battle to face in this life. Your emails, Kris, also provide that inspiration, as does your own life! Thanks again and God bless!

  75. Kris

What a great interview. Thank you so much.

I am healthy but a lot of friends and family have been touched by cancer and I can’t believe how many people I know who have died fom it.

I am always trying to learn as much as I can about preventive measures wherever possible and I find your site very helpful.

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and the cancer rate is high here. 1 in 3 people will get cancer. They are not sure why it is so high.

Thank you again for this informative interview.

    Judy Hardiman

  76. Geoff Dieckmann says:

    Hi
I’ve just had surgery for bowel cancer and am looking for some life style changes to help my recovery and to avoid a return of cancer in any of its forms.

Thanks for the Video – it has started me on my journey.

    Geoff

  77. Leah Slags says:

Really love both of you ladies. As a fellow cancer survivor, it’s so important to understand that although there may not be a cure for every illness, we can always find healing.

    Peace and love,

    Leah Slags
my blog post reviewing Radical Remission (everyone, even peeps without cancer, should pick up this book, it’s rad): http://www.leahslags.com/2014/05/08/radicalremission/

  78. Virginia Doty says:

Another wonderful bolster to keep on this crazy road of healing and wellness. Take away for me is that it is a journey and will take many forms because all healing takes time and is worth that time put in. Thank you Kris and Kelly.

  79. Kris you continue to inform and inspire – just love your efforts and energy and heart. Thank you for caring for yourself and everyone else!

  80. Dareen says:

Hey!! this was great.. thank you for sharing..but i’m curious as to what the rest of the list was.. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share that list of 9 aside from the 3 that you have already listed.

  81. Tricia says:

Amazing and inspiring. Thank you for all of your dedicated research. The world needs more responsible professionals sharing this kind of information. I am going to meditate for 5 minutes right now while my babies are asleep. I want to be well and STAY well for them. Thank you.

  82. ann says:

I’m just in awe of you both.
So many people that you are helping.
    The circle continues to widen!

  83. Eileen says:

Kris, I don’t know how to thank you enough! You keep it so simple and easy for us! That is what make me go ” I can do this” thank you, thank you, thank you!

  84. Mandy says:

I am sharing this with everyone I know. A close family friend has been taken off the liver transplant list because his cancer has spread. They are pretty much giving up and just making him “comfortable”. The talk about Ensure so hits home! That is what they were feeding him. That and a ton of meat for protein. I am sharing this with the family and anyone I can think of. Thank you! I hope this stays up forever!

    • Mandy says:

After reading my comment, I realized how insensitive it sounded. I don’t have enough information on this friends treatment to have made any comments about it. I just know that conventional treatment is what was used. Please excuse my in insensitivity and I only hope that they can find some helpful information from this video.

  85. Susan Connor says:

On August 17th 2011 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer Adenoma non small cell that had metastasized to my brain with a tennis ball lesion in right frontal and parietal area, plus 3 other lesions. Prior to being diagnosed I had Lyme Disease and was treated with antibiotics. I was told I had about a year to live, with or without treatment. The June before diagnosis I completed a Health Coaching Course given by Intergrative Nutrition with Dr. Joshua Rosenthal. I had been eating healthy, using Shakeology drinks with probiotics and other nutrients. I had Sterotactic Radiation on the lesions in my brain and 8 months of Chemo until I decided to stop. I started using Chaga Mushrooms and Wild Turkey Tail and a green drink everyday. Nothing with preservatives or prepared. My lung lesions have been stable for 2 1/2 years and I have had some swelling in my brain after radiation but that has remained stable for 2 years. I have always had a strong spiritual practice, yoga, mediation and apparition of nature. There is much more to my story and my Oncologists think I am a miracle. I know in my heart that it is paying attention to my body and the ability to heal oneself. I will definitely get Dr. Turners book. I have had Kris Carr Books since I was diagnosed!!!

  86. Elizabeth Krause says:

Thank you for the this interview! Can’t wait to read the book. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for stage 4 ovarian cancer. ( I completed an Ironman in 2013 and my cancer presented as pneumonia two days later but wasn’t diagnosed until January 2014!) I’m in the fight of my life but cancer is messin’ with the wrong woman! Besides, I hold a deep belief in God and my hand firmly clings to my Savior, Jesus. I am armed!

That said Kris, I was recently told by a nutritionist to drink Ensure! She lost me after that. Are you kidding me?

Thanks for all your work for us cancer people, Kris and Kelly.

    Beth

  87. Gail Christensen says:

Kris, I can’t thank you enough for airing your interview with Dr. Kelly Turner!! It resonates with every thing I have come to live and believe due to my own journey of getting well from late stage breast cancer. THESE are the answers to cancer patients and ALL people!! How can we get this message out….? I pray all the time to be a link and witness to the truth that you spoke about today. So many others have revealed this truth as well and I just can’t understand it not being broadcasted nightly on the world news!!! I want to be one that shouts it from the mountain top!!

Thanks you again for your dedication and passion, Kris!! You too are a true pioneer!!

    Gail Christensen

  88. Barbara S says:

Thanks for this. I enjoyed the interview and just ordered the book.

  89. Nancy says:

This made me cry! Why oh why is this information not available in the mainstream. I know too many people that could be helped by this, and why aren’t doctors passing this information to their patients?

  90. Marg says:

BELIEF = BE + LIEF = BE + LOVE. Your belief IS your spiritual essence…your loving vibes. As you increase your self belief, you increase your self love and raise your vibrations, thus mending your body fibres. Belief is the answer.

MEDITATION = IMMEDIATE -ation. Meditation is simply being in the immediate and CHOOSING loving vibes for yourself in each new moment (MO’MENT = MOVEMENT), be it thought, word or action.

EMBRYO = IN + SWELLING / TUMOUR. We are all cancerous bodies. Our purpose is to express the cancer (dis-ease) physically so we can learn to love and nurture it, and thus raise our vibes so as to release the dis-ease once and for all from its evolutionary journey. The dis-ease (cancer) IS our ancestral DNA, which is why the cancerous genes dissolve when immersed in loving vibrations. We are here to eradicate ancestral DNA from our cell nucleus, which will ultimately eradicate mortality.

HARD TO BELIEVE…BUT TRUE!!!! We are amazing beings on an amazing journey. The truth is finally emerging.

  91. Thank you so much for this interview, Kris and Kelly! This is exactly the inspiration I was asking the universe for at the moment. You’re incredible – so excited that this powerful information is reaching the masses. Huge love xxx

  92. Debra Tobey says:

I have been fighting Breast Cancer since May 2004. I have used western medicine but have change over to holistic steps. I just went through Brain Cyber knife surgery (5 liaisons) I have had both breasts removed. I have had 10 lymodoes. I stopped Chemo again ( periodically do this) last June 2012 by August 2012 it had spread once again to my spine and my spinal cord. This put me into emergency surgery. I am now regaining the ability to walk, drive and hopefully soon run. I still do not have control over the pain in my feet and ankles or the ability to keep on top of elimination.

Not sure what to say it has been a long long trip

  93. Heidi says:

Thank you Kris for hosting Dr Turner and of course, to Dr Turner who compiled all of this without a cancer diagnosis. I’m struck by the power of the human body when given the opportunity to heal. So grateful to both of you!!!

  94. Sheridan Traner says:

My takeaway is GRATITUDE. Thank you both for giving go-to resources, community, hope and *LOVE* to seekers who might otherwise feel as lost as we did when our 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer almost 10 years ago. Up to then, our family had been blessed with good health, we didn’t have a GP and we certainly didn’t know anybody with cancer. On our own, through trial and error and lots of hard work, we learned to practice what you ladies discuss in this interview. Your short cut to the prize will save lives. Kris, I have read and shared all of your books. We are on the same page! Kelly, your work is so needed and important. Nice to meet you. Rock on! XXOO

  95. Heather Jones says:

What a fantastic lady, Dr Kelly Turner is. I don’t have cancer but I’m huge into prevention and also I have had many friends who have gone through or are going through cancer treatment, that will benefit from hearing this interview and reading Kelly’s book.

Thank you so much Kris. I love all your newsletters and articles and you are such a brilliant example to everyone. Take care.

    Heather (Western Australia)

  96. Amy says:

I have been waiting for someone to do this research and tell this story. Thank you Kris and thank you Dr. Turner. I am a breast cancer survivor, still on my healing journey, and my oncologist (who is awesome at chemo) has a giant jar of candy on the reception desk. Makes me crazy!

  97. Anna says:

Thanks for this inspiring interview! I do not have cancer, but it runs rampant in my family. I will certainly be reading the book and passing along the messages to anyone who will listen.

  98. Erin says:

What an amazing and inspirational video! Although I do not have cancer, I am glad to know that someone is doing this work! I can’t wait to get the book and also share it anyone I know that is affected by cancer.

  99. this is a fantastic video. We are going to get this book. thank you both.

  100. Tee says:

This is absolutely my most favorite post of all time!! It has helped me deepen my conviction to take care if myself. Great job!!!

  101. Sara says:

As always I love that you share great information and research. I work with cancer patients and I’m always telling them about you and your website. Your presentation Rocks! Thanks for shining your light Kris.

  102. Elisabeth Hoff says:

Wonderful, wonderful interview..and a VERY important one. Thank you for sharing this research. It is so great to hear that we are moving towards a place where these additional strategies to surviving cancer are getting some scientific grounding that can prove to the world that this really is the way forward. Thank you.
    Elisabeth
    xx

  103. Lindsay Davis says:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHmazing ! Thank you for sharing this shiny little gem stone with us .

  104. Leisa says:

So inspiring. Dr Kelly’s research will change the world. What came up for me was the fascinating study about how our body changes when going within to meditate and that cancer cells die as a result. Booyah, take that cancer cells.
There is so much incredible information out there to help us heal and move away from “dead foods”.

Thank you so much for sharing so much intelligent, spiritual wisdom. Both of your energy was loving and positive.

  105. Sylvie says:

Thank you both for this great gift of life.
    Health and happiness
    Sylvie

  106. Kim says:

Kris, interview with dr turner was enlightening, helpful and “hopeful” as I continue a cancer journey of almost 14 years!
I will visit the websites to learn more and just pulled out my copy of crazy sexy diet for a “refresher.” Most importantly thank you for calling yourself a “cancer thriver.”
A reminder that our thoughts and attitude contribute greatly to our healing and our peace of mind…Kim

  107. Shari Hall Smith says:

First of all I love you Kris Carr, you rock and align with all my beliefs! I was dx with breast cancer in 1992 at age 36. I decided to have a bi- lateral mastectomy as I had recently lost my friend to the disease .. While she treated one side, the other had a sneaky version that would take her life. Just getting engaged I decided on a bi-lateral mastectomy to get rid of those smoking guns and have reconstruction giving me twins, not sisters! The recommendation was 6 months of chemo and 5 years of tamoxifen. I decided to go holistic with diet and lifestyle and hope for a chance to have children. I am blessed with 2 daughters, now 16 and 19! Twenty one years later I have been dx with metastasized BC to my bones. In complete shock I began an obsessive search to find my plan. First was diet, aligning with what Dr a Turner just described in your interview. I had already downloaded her book but haven’t read much yet. Next I found an amazing integrative MD who did extensive blood work to come up with my supplements plan. I am writing to you from Germany where tomorrow is my final day of a 3 week treatment. My 10 weeks of research landed me here ( way too long to detail in this already long comment!) I am geared up to go beyond the ” managing” of this disease to reversing and someday kicking its ass to the curb!
I have much to share with you and others about my journey that got me here and met amazing people from around the world who are researched and strong. The stories of success from this clinic after being sent home to hospice are inspirational and have reset me into the Can Do Mode.
Please connect with me on my email above as I have a meeting with my local cancer clinic when I return to discuss my findings about all the body, mind and spirit issues to attempt to convince them to hire an Integrative MD and work complimentary into the peaceful coexistence it deserves!
    XO S

  108. Hi Kris, I started following you earlier in the year when I was trying to help my boyfriend’s sister stay positive while dealing with her breast cancer. She unfortunately died 3 weeks ago.

Since then my older sister has been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer in her stomach. There has never been any documented cancer on either my Mother’s or Father’s family until now.
Thank YOU and Dr. Kelly Turner for this wonderful video and I look forward to more good news from the both of you. Now more than ever I am listening in hopes of avoiding this result for myself. I especially appreciate the information on sugar as it is so important to understand that many of the processed (good for you products) aren’t good for us at all.

Thanks for fighting the good fight you both ROCK!

  109. Glynis Downey says:

    Hi Kris & DR Kelly,
I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer just 1 hr after being told my precious Mum had only 2 weeks to live, just 6 weeks before this my Mums youngest sister (( my Godmother & my best friend,my life mentor) passed away after a 13 yr battle with breast cancer, my Mum had cervical cancer. My little niece of 13 my brother only little girl passed away 2 yrs before this from brain cancer, and my darling brother died of a broken heart just 8 months before my Mum. So for me to be given a cancer diagnoses on the day I was told mum had just 2 weeks ( she only lived for 10days and I was her carer I could not separate cancer from death untill I found you Kris, you see I went for my chemo/ radiation assessment the day after my Mums funeral back to the same hospital I took both my mum & my aunt for their treatment & follow up appointment’s & where my aunt had passed away. I am only starting to ( change my thinking to change my life) I’ve been also following hay house world summit thanks also to you Kris living in Ireland I never heard of all these wonderful people & their stories. What has REALY blown me away about Dr Kelly’s interview is the science behind meditation etc, I will be most DEFFINATELY be starting to meditate from tomorrow morning as this is amazing knowledge for my soul. I can’t thank you both enough. God bless you Kris & Kelly just a little thing I’d like to tell you is that my little 4 yr old grandson is called. Kris Kelly now that is some wonderful power of attraction at work. Don’t you think. Much love & Irish blessings to you both keep doing what your doing you are saving soooo many people’s lives. The sun is always shinning behind every cloud. :):):) Glynis

  110. claire says:

Ladies, Thanks so much for this little reminder to live healthy. On the sofa feeling sorry for myself with a dose of germs – all i’m craving is to curl up with chocolate but i’m getting up now to go make a super dooper green smoothie that will hopefully help me along my healthy way. If i add beetroot i totally get the same kick as i would from chocolate 🙂

  111. Patricia says:

Thank you Kris and Kelly. This is a truly inspirational message! Cancer is too often seen as something that cannot be cured and the “C” word puts fear into most people. This research gives hope to all of us that Cancer can be cured and that we can take proactive steps to heal ourselves.
I agree that this research can also be helpful for those who do not have Cancer. If these things that Cancer patients have done to heal have given them Radical Remissions than those things can also be used to heal other diseases.
In addition to Dietary Changes, and proper Supplements tailored to a person’s specific needs, I know that the Spiritual Component is so important. As a Meditator and someone who found my Spiritual path because of a serious Chronic illness with Environmental and Chemical Sensitivities, I know that it is my Spiritual Connection to the Higher Power, to the Light, that both leads me and gives me the strength and support to heal.
Thank you! This is truly a wonderful message of hope and inspiration that I too can heal my self and also help prevent Cancer in my own body.
    Love, Love, Love
    Patricia

  112. Elizabeth Heyenga says:

such a great interview, thank you. Kelly is so well-spoken and smart, what a pleasure to learn from. And the things she recommends in her book would be good for folks who DON’T WANT to get cancer!

  113. Sherri Grande says:

What a phenomenal interview Kris and Kelly!! I do not have cancer, but live with adrenal fatigue and MS and am constantly tweeking my diet and lifestyle so that I can live a healthy life cancer free. Both my father and brother have/had cancer and now a cousin who has struggled with cancer for over 20 years, is literally fighting for her life. I sent this video to her in hopes that Dr. Turner’s book and both of your websites will inspire her into radical remission. You are both doing incredible work for such an incredible cause. You go girls!!

  114. Annie in Montana says:

Thank you beautiful ladies for sharing this amazing information with all of us! What a blessing to those of us who have loved ones dealing with cancer and for the rest of us who just want to live our best life possible which I think is so much easier when we feel healthy and balanced. I think a huge part of that is taking control over what we put into our mouth and loving ourselves enough to nourish ourselves both physically and spiritually. Keep up the great work and keep spreading the truth!

  115. Francesca says:

I just finished reading Radical Remission and it is one of the greatest books I’ve ever read, completely inspiring! Dr. Turner you are an angel, Bless you for bringing so much knowledge and hope for people who are dealing with cancer. Kriss Carr you too have been an enormous inspiration for me, Thank you for everything that you do and for the awareness that you are bringing forth on this GREAT book. I had Breast Cancer 8 years ago and did everything that the western med’s prescribed, I also did many alternative things, but not enough and not consistently as I did not know what I now know. Last September the cancer recurred, it was devastating to find out about the Bone Mets. I have made radical changes and have made great improvement over the last 8 months, I am determined daily to have my Radical Remission.

  116. Yael says:

    Really Wonderful!!
Thanks so much Kris Carr and Dr. Kelly Turner, Ph.D. for sharing the interview with us!!
I forwarded it to a friend of mine who was diagnosed with cancer recently.
I am healthy and eating vegan/gluten/soy/corn free diet regularly. 🙂

I also live in NYC, in Upper Manhattan – among many hills and trees, so I experience what Dr. Kelly Turner mentioned- its a happy transformation of body &soul each time I walk up/down the gorgeous hills of Fort Tryon Park!! and also when i practice daily Qi-gong and meditation.

    I loved the interview!!
    And I love your work!!

    thanks you!!
    namaste..

  117. Sheila says:

wow! I love hearing this study and having research to back it up! After being diagnosed I was amazed at the few questions I was asked in the name of Research about my lifestyle. I also felt the doctors were not interested in any dialogue relating to integrative methods of healing even diet…I realize they are surgeons and they love to cut cut cut. I would like to know if tapping has same benefits as meditation I seem to have trouble with quieting my being (up til now) and tapping does work for me Ive had amazing shifts since incorporating it. What are your thoughts? Are they two totally different things cellularly….Thanks for all you do for all! xxSheila

  118. Trish Wood says:

Loved, loved, loved this interview. I sincerely appreciate the way that this information was presented and how it encourages everyone to find their best way to optimal health. I can’t wait to read her book or share.

  119. Melissa Boyle says:

Like Kris, this is EXACTLY the book I have been waiting for. It is so inspiring, affirming, and absolutely relevant to all of us who are looking to live as rich a life as we are possibly able! Thank you also to those who shared your own personal stories of beating the odds. These stories are so important to us!!!!!!!

  120. Laura says:

My father passed of stage 4 liver cancer and he was so stubborn about changing his diet. I tried to tell him to eat alkaline foods but he said he would rather stick to what he was eating. I met him where he was at and sometimes you have to do that because it is not my journey. I am a healer and I stress the importance of finding a daily practice of connection (usually through nature) to help people whether they have cancer or not. That seems to be the one thing that everyone who comes to see me is missing in their life. I think as humans we are want to connect because we are one. I love this research!

  121. Kathy says:

Brilliant 2 women that have helped and transformed my life, it brought tears to my eyes, I radically changed my diet, did an integrative approach, no cancer. I had read 3 of Kris books and Kellys book and they gave me the courage to make a substantial change in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Love to you both for what you are giving this world.

  122. Aura Carr says:

    Wonderful interview. Truly inspiring.

  123. Aishwarya says:

Thank you for being so inspirational. Thank you Dr Kelly for the amazing book. It came at the right time for me. As my oncologist tells me the cancer I have is incurable, I’m now determined to follow your nine steps and hope for remission.

  124. Mazinga says:

Thank you very much for spreading the world.
I have bought and read the book in an instant. I was very thrilled when so that you interviewed Dr. Kelly.
I am not suffering from any disease but as you said it is not only for sick people. It is an eye opening for everybody on life style changes that we should do to keep a healthy body and mind.

  125. Selma says:

I’d love to see similar research/analysis on autoimmune/chronic lyme disease-

  126. denise says:

Thank you for another great interview. I help facilitate retreats and teach classes where our focus is on prevention and increasing natural radiance. I purchased Kelly’s book and can’t wait to read- thanks for bringing work out into the public.
By the way I have all your books and love them!!!
    Keep on doing,
    denise

  127. Polina says:

I got very excited listening to this interview and I decided finally to give a light to my “case”. Actually the “case” was officially closed, but I am still here alive, healthy and joyful.
I would love Dr. Kelly Turner to include my way of surviving cancer in her studies, so for others to be inspired.
    With appreciation,
    Polina

  128. Frances says:

    Kris,
Thanks for posting this. It was so encouraging. I am a 4 1/2 year brain cancer survivor and have done some of what Dr. Kelly suggests. I need to go get her book and learn more.

  129. Seema says:

Thanks Kris for sharing such an inspiring, practical and encouraging interview. Dr. Turner was able to articulate her learnings so well and I feel that she will be able to help millions of people through her research and work. Ps. cooking up a storm from Crazy, Sexy Kitchen! xo

  130. Liz says:

Thank you so much for sharing such an inspiring and informative interview! It is amazing what our immune systems can do to heal, and maintain, and supercharge our health. We also need to become more aware of how our habitual thoughts, and the feelings they evoke, affect us physically, especially our immune systems.

  131. Dr. Turner & Kris awesome interview…I recommend every thing you talked about to my patients…. Loved it! I will recommend this book to everyone. Keep up the good work.

  132. Cyndie says:

Once again you continue to amaze me with your abilities to seek information which will help others. Your upbeat way of sharing information that will help heal the body and mind is a gift to all. Thank you and keep on girl!!!! ;-). We are blessed to have you in our lives!

  133. Elyza says:

Thank you so much for all this info! My family deals more with heart disease than cancer, and my husband’s family has a lot of cancer going on and both of us eat as super healthy as possible. But its always more than that. I’ve been struggling to live an independent life with my depression and subsequent OCD and was so excited about a new treatment. But it is far too expensive, and it doesn’t look good for my insurance to cover it. So I decided I needed to get more radical with my spiritual and meditative side. I don’t take any drugs and behavioral therapy only goes so far. So even though I’m not going through a cancer storm, my body is still get riddled with all sorts of things due to my chronic depression and anxiety. And I know I’m no where near alone. This talk helped remind me that staying connected to that inner peace, that constantly working it, can definitely give results! Thank you for the inspiration for me to step outside my door today and enjoy some nature!

  134. Jane says:

Thanks for sharing this info. I have never had cancer, but I believe in the healing power of food and what it can do for us. Giving up sugar has been the best thing that ever happened to me. My brain is clear, I no longer have hot flashes (yes ladies, seriously!) and I have more energy with no ups and downs. I believe that giving up sugar, dairy and meat, not to mention upping my veggie intact significantly, helps to protect me against cancer. I am a certified health coach and share this good news any chance I get. Eat your veggies! Give up the sugar! Keep rocking Kris and bringing the great info! XO

  135. Julia Eaton says:

Love this interview with Dr. Kelly. I am a cancer survivor. One year as of 06/03/2013. I was told that would not survive my birthday of that year, which was July 21. Getting ready to have my second birthday since diagnosed.

  136. KayB says:

What a great inspiring interview ! Off to order Dr Turner’s ( isn’t she gorgeous ?) book right now ! Thank you Kris..you are such a bright shining light in my life xx

  137. Misty says:

It blows me away that doctors who have patients in remission don’t ask “HOW” ?? Thank you so much Kris for finding Kelly and then sharing her with your readers!!

  138. Katie Smith says:

Hi, I am wondering if any of your patient studies have used cannabis as part of their herbs and supplements, there are many studies being done now about cannabis oil and/or juicing the leaves as a way to fight cancer. I have survived a brain tumor and I have done all of the nine principles in your book but am also trying to incorporate cannabis into my life. Thank you!
    Katie

  139. Michelle Zeto says:

I love this. Thank you for not only talking about this for cancer survivors but for EVERYONE! I am a Wellness Coach and this is what I believe in and practice. SO important! I was also wondering if you had any thoughts on this…

On the topic of Ensure and using a handy dandy product to provide supplementation, I have a lot of clients touting the wonders of Shakeology. What do YOU think of this product and have you looked into it? The ingredient list is pretty impressive as far as superfoods, mushrooms etc… but it is that PROCESSED thing that get me stuck on supporting let alone recommending it. Any thoughts?

GREAT video interview! I am sending clients to it for sure!

  140. Mary says:

There is always hope; great lessons for us all

  141. Sandra says:

    Thank-you for this!

  142. Stacy says:

Wonderful information for all of us to live by. Kris you are not only helping cancer patients. My hubby was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis at age 38 which has a 3-5 year survival rate. We have been drinking your green drinks ever since and 7 years later he is holding stable. He has mixed traditional medicine with nutrition and meditation. There is hope!

  143. Monika says:

I hope the book gets translated into German and many other languages! Such an important topic and it needs to be spread!

    xox

  144. Dora says:

Thank you Kriss and Dr. Kelly. As a Stage 4 breast cancer survivor I appreciate all that you do . As a mom of a 10 year old, I appreciate it even more as I want to be there for her in full capacity for as long as possible. Any tips on how to incorporate the nutritional changes to make them “kid” friendly?

  145. Susan V says:

These ideas incorporated into a lifestyle apply to us all.
Thank you for presenting this to the universe!
Your spirit is contagious and you are a inspiration to us all!
    Keep it coming!

  146. Darlene Gant says:

Very nice interview and inspiring. I am a stage 4 breast cancer thriver since 2005. I have been very integrative on my path and also choose to educate and inspire others to investigate all of your options and live a healthy life with lifestyle changes such as diet and how we think process, pray and meditatedelve into spirituality. I was on hospice back in 2012 and bed ridden and today I have a pretty average life filled with love, light and peace.

  147. Bethe Levy says:

Thank you so much for bringing Dr. Turner to your site, Kris. I have multiple myeloma – am approaching four years and have integrated many of these practices into my life but the reminder is so helpful, that I am
not just spinning my wheels and remembering that healing is about having some control and say about my body and cancer, as well as striving to have the best days that I can.

I would love to be a radical remission gal for your study, but alas, I have never been in remission. It is okay
because, as I keep reminding my oncologist, there is a lot that IS working in my body. This is such an important book for all of us – prevention and dealing with cancer. With gratitude, Bethe Levy

Good morning…I have been taking supplement called Protandim and although I do not have cancer, I have lost loved ones to cancer and have friends that are currently fighting the fight. I was wondering if you have heard of it. I want to share it with friends as I have heard nothing bad about it and it stimulates your body to destroy free radicals…I would really like your opinion as I look to your site for answers and solutions as I know you speak from the heart and experience…and you do your research:)
    Thank you
    Hilary

Thank you so much for your interview with Dr. K. Turner. I read the book, but this really reinforced the principles for me (a breast cancer patient). Seeing her beautiful sincere essence was an inspiration and a puff a fluffy wonderful love (like that which you are always serving up sweetly). Thanks again!

  154. Deborah says:

I honestly believe that killing animals and taking their babies away from them in order to steal their milk can ONLY lead to disease. Dis-ease. If we’re ALL truly connected, then eating an animal is like eating your own foot! How can such a travesty of nature ever lead to health and well-being? How can death lead to life? How can a carcass ever bring health? Of course it can’t. If people just LOVED… Love ALL of life, ALL the sentient beings, their own bodies, our precious and beautiful Earth… If we can all just LOVE, cancer would be a thing of the past. I envision a future where the thought of harming an animal, ANY animal, is so foreign an idea that no one would ever believe it was ever done. That’s MY dream. I hope it doesn’t take cancer to make it your dream too. To LIFE!

If it works for you I am happy. I do however know there is much great nutritional health with eating non steroid induced meat such as when you hunt your own, which I feel is still a part of nature and cycle of life as planned by a higher energy.

I saw her on the Dr. Oz show last month and immediately got her book. It is difficult to put down, it’s wonderful!

Awesome information! How exciting that this information is coming to light more and more! Thanks Kris and Dr. Kelly Turner! I am a ‘beating the odds’ cancer thriver and I couldn’t be happier to hear the info and then feel so validated.

  158. Cassie says:

What a beautiful message and interview! I am continually impressed with my body’s ability to heal me if I just take care of it in these ways you discussed. For me, the biggest take away was meditation. While I do yoga, walk outside, etc, I think this is the time to start trying a 5 min daily meditation. Thank you SO much for including us in this dialogue!

  159. Jill says:

Great info. I eat very clean, no gluten. Low sugar, lots of fruit n veggies , no meat…want to get off dairy tho am afraid will lose weight. Am underweight and can’t afford to drop. Eat nuts, avocado. Coconut oil etc. how does one keep their calories up eating this way? thank you

    • Rhonda says:

      Hello Jill,

The best way to maintain or add some weight is simply to eat more. It is not all about eating more fattening foods, but eating more calories. It works the same way as for people who want to lose weight, they count and limit calories. So if you can work at adding in more calories at each of your meals, and add in an extra healthy snacks throughout the day, you should be able to maintain and or gain some weight. Examples, add in coconut yogurt into a smoothie, enjoy a banana, peanut butter or almond butter, vegan mayo on toast, make your own energy bars as they are so quick and easy and add in almond butter, coconut, nuts, oats, maple syrup, the list is endlist. Try new recipes.
You will not miss the dairy as it is easy to replace with alternative nut and grain products.

Thank you for this interview, Kris! My husband and I have made lots of changes to our diets over the years (including drinking homemade organic green juice every day), and are in great health. What came up for me is the thought of his mother, in her late 70’s, who has just received a Stage 3 lung cancer diagnosis. She lives in a retirement home, and I can’t believe how they feed these people! So much processed junk. I’ll be sharing this interview with her, in hopes that we can at least get her thinking turned around, if not her behavior. She’s pretty much accepted her ‘fate’, and stopped doing things like walking because of it. She’s got kids and grandkids who would like to see her live to a much older age, and I believe we can extend her life if she makes some changes. Of course, these will have to be her choice, but maybe this interview will help her think differently.

  161. Kris, I am so happy you are helping to get the word out. Yes cancer is curable without damaging the body in the process. I know first hand because I just helped my husband get cured, yes cured, no cancer anywhere in the body. He did have stage 3 prostate cancer that had spread outside of the prostate.
There are so many things that can help boost your immune system. I have had so many people ask me what we did that I put together an extensive list so that anyone who is interested in what we did can read about it. And yes the cure is the best way to prevent. Wishing everyone Ageless Health and Beauty.

    Awesome

  163. Cindy says:

I SO agree – I combined western and alternative medicine measures and – despite a few stacked odds – I am still here and feeling GREAT. Stick to your ideals but make sure you are getting the best advice and information. It IS a lot of work and a lot of research but it sure beats the ‘other’ outcome! And IT DOES WORK. Be well.

  164. You are such an inspiration! Thank you for being an advocate for natural ways to support healing though this terrible disease.

  165. I also healed Cancer naturally without surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation. I only used proper nutrition and proper detoxification to heal naturally. It isn’t easy to heal cancer naturally, especially when it is advanced, but it CAN be done.
